Here's why Xiaomi MI Notebook Air 2 laptop is so much better than Macbook Air and will give Apple a run for its money
It's been a year since the first generation Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air made its debut . It was the first laptop that Xiaomi ever released to the market. We were quite impressed with this Mi Notebook Air. It has top notch performance, premium build quality and it doesn't dig deeper in our pocket. Fast forward to the present, today Xiaomi finally introduced the updated models of Mi Notebook Air.

Compared to the predecessors, the new Mi Notebook Air models bring some new improvements here and there on hardware and software. But this Chinese company puts the focus here mostly on the performance upgrades and leave the other sectors untouched.

As you know already, one thing that is so prominent with the first-gen Mi Notebook Air is how this laptop really looks like Apple Macbook Air. It has that shinny and sleek metal finish all over the place.

Well, it's no different with Mi Notebook Air 2. It still inherits the premium aluminum design a la Apple Macbook.

The next-gen Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air will be available in wide range of models. There are 3 variants which each comes with 13.3-inch display. The top-end model here is powered by the seventh-gen Intel Core i7 processor.

Meanwhile, the other 2 get the 'second-best' Intel Core i5. But all of these processors are Intel's seventh-gen Kaby Lake chips. So you'll get the latest and best performance out of these laptops.

According to Xiaomi, these 3 Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air laptops get a major improvement of performance by 10% compared to the predecessors, all thanks to the latest-gen Kaby Lake processors from Intel.

Besides the 13.3-inch models, Xiaomi also brings one updated model of the 12.5-inch Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air laptop. This one is now powered by Intel Core m3 processor. And it's also the seventh-generation Kaby Lake chips from Intel, getting a boost of performance by 12% than the predecessor.

Each of these Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air laptops also features a 4G LTE modem on board. So if you love streaming YouTube videos or downloading huge files, this one has got you covered. There's also fingerprint sensor embedded on all of these Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air laptops. So unlocking this laptop will be a lot easier and faster.

The fingerprint sensor itself is placed on the top right corner of the trackpad. It can also be used if you want to verify payments when buying stuff online.

The new-gen Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air laptops also receive significant improvements in memory and graphics departments. The 3 variants of 13.3-inch Xiaomi Mi Notebook Air laptops now feature 8GB DDR4 RAM and Nvidia GeForce MX150 (2GB GDDR5 memory).
