Yay!! Android Nougat OS arrives soon on Samsung Galaxy TAB S2 Tablet
Back in February 2017, at MWC event, Samsung introduced us with Samsung Galaxy TAB S3, which we are confident to call it as an iPad Pro killer. But despite releasing the new-gen model, Samsung apparently still treats its predecessor equally. If you happen to be the owner of Samsung Galaxy TAB S2 tablet, great news for you today! The update of Android Nougat is currently being sent out to all units of T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy TAB S2.

Yes, that's right. If you own this tablet, it's probably the best time to upgrade its Android Marshmallow to Nougat OS. However, as mentioned above, this update is only available for the T-Mobile version of Samsung Galaxy TAB S2. So if your tablet is the global version, this update is not for you then.

Anyway, the update itself is carrying the baseband version of T817TUVU2BQE2. It actually has been rolled out 6 days ago since Monday 5th. Unfortunately, there's no information concerning the extra improvements in this update apart from the improvements brought by Android Nougat OS like dual-screen mode, etc.

The update itself requires you to have 1GB of free internal storage as the download files will consume 1006,80MB. So before downloading this Nougat update, please make sure that your tablet has at least around 1GB or more of free storage.

The update requirements and steps

T-Mobile has released requirements that users must do before attempting to download the update. First, your tablet must have at least 50% of battery life bar. T-Mobile also suggests you to have strong internet connection (WiFi or LTE is recommended) to avoid troubled downloading process.

And T-Mobile also asks you to create the back-up for all your important data.

This Android Nougat update will arrive automatically, so all you have to do is wait until your tablet receives the alert. You can then use the update to Android Nougat option from there. Once the downloading process is finished, it's up to you whether you want to install the update NOW or LATER.

If you want to install the update later, the installation process will not start. The system will ask you for your permission to reboot in order to update your tablet to Nougat OS. On the other hand, if you decide to download and install the update manually, first you've gotta download and install Samsung software called "Samsung Smart Switch" on your laptop.

After that, connect your tablet to your laptop and link to the Smart Switch app. Once the link has been established, you can open the Smart Switch app and search for the Android Nougat update on that app.

About Samsung Galaxy Tab S2

Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is certainly one powerful tablet from Samsung. It's packing a 9.7-inch display sporting the 1536x2048 pixels resolution. And it's Super AMOLED screen. So it looks super sharp, vivid and vibrant with gorgeous well-saturated colors.

The performance is handled by Qualcomm Snapdragon octa-core 652 processor, accompanied with 3GB of RAM and different high-end GPU (Mali or Adreno GPU depends on the version). The cameras are 8MP on the back, with 1.2MP on the front. So if you love photography, this tablet will accommodate your hobby very well.

The tablet comes with Android Lollipop out of the box. But it was then upgraded to Marshmallow and now Android Nougat OS is currently being rolled out for this model.
