ASUS unveils 3 new slates: ZenPad 3S 8.0 and two large ZenPad 10 tablets. Geared up for mid-end market?
Besides announcing a few new laptops under VivoBook series, at Computex 2017 held in Taipei, Asus also unveiled some new interesting tablets here. And they were ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 and two ASUS ZenPad 10 tablets. By looking at the glance, these new Android slates from ASUS will likely go on sale in mid-to-high-end market.

First of all, let us start with the smaller variant of ZenPad series - ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0. As its name implies, yes, this one packs an 8-inch screen. But what makes this tablet a worthy purchase is actually its resolution.

It comes with Quad HD resolution (2560x1440 pixels). So we are more than sure you're gonna love to watch movies on it for hours or just stare at the homescreen.

As far as the performance is concerned, this one can be considered as a good powerful device. It's running on Snapdragon 652 processor, which is an upgrade from Snapdragon 650 found inside the predecessor.

Meanwhile, the graphical performance of this tablet will be handled by Adreno 510 GPU, which a high-end GPU for today's standards. So basically, you can throw some heavy Android games like Gangstar New Orleans or even the up-and-coming Dead Rivals (a new zombie shooting game from Gameloft).

This tablet is also supported with an adequate amount of RAM. But there are 2 different spec configurations here. The first one features 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. Meanwhile, the second model will give you a much bigger 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, but of course this one is gonna cost you more.

There's a 4680mAh battery powering this device. Thankfully, this tablet comes with Android Nougat out of the box, which comes with many improvements especially on the power consumption. Hopefully, this will help make this tablet more efficient in battery life.

If you're into photography, there's also 13MP camera on the back, while the other 5MP shooter on the front will come in handy for taking selfies or doing video calls.

And that's the first ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0 tablet.

Meanwhile, the other 2 new tablets - ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301ML and Z301MFL - are much bigger tablets here. But interestingly, despite having larger screen real estate than ASUS ZenPad 3S 8.0, these two ASUS ZenPad 10 slates apparently don't look really impressive on paper.

First of all, let us start with the first model - ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301ML.

This one features a 10-inch display with the resolution of 1280x800 pixels. And then, on the sector of performance, it's handled by a quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor. This tablet will be available in 3 different spec configurations here: 2GB RAM with 16GB storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 3GB of RAM with 64GB of storage.

The cameras on this tablet also leave a lot to be desired, especially compared to the smaller ZenPad 3S 8.0 above. There's 5MP on the back and 2MP on the front. So if you're expecting great sharp photos out of this tablet, be ready to be disappointed here.

ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301ML will be powered by an 18Wh battery inside. But given that it's running on Android Nougat OS, hopefully this will help a lot to make this tablet more efficient with power consumption.

ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301MFL

Meanwhile, the second variant of ASUS' new tablet - ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301MFL - is slightly better here in terms of specs. This tablet comes with a much sharper Full HD resolution (1920x1080 pixels) on its 10-inch display. The performance will also be faster thanks to a quad-core 1.45GHz MediaTek processor on board.

The rest of specs actually remain the same with the first variant above (ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301ML), including the Android Nougat OS that will come pre-installed on this device.

Both ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301ML and ASUS ZenPad 10 Z301MFL will be available in wide different color options, from Pearl White, Royal Blue and Quarts Gray. So pick the one that matches with your personality and you're good to go.

Unfortunately, there's no details concerning the pricing and availability of these 3 new ASUS ZenPad tablets, or least for now.

But we will keep you updated for sure. So be sure to stick around on this site guys!
