Microsoft's hardware partners expected to release the cheaper Windows 10 S laptops. Pricing starts at only $189
So today, Microsoft just introduced its new offering in education market. It is the new Surface laptop that is made for students and teachers. It will ship with the new Windows 10S out of the box. However, this Microsoft's new laptop is one hell of an expensive laptop, pricing starts at $1000. Thankfully, Microsoft's hardware partners will also be making the cheaper alternatives for this new Surface laptop.

So besides unveiling the new Surface laptop, Microsoft also brought great news at its recent education-focused event in New York.

Microsoft said that its hardware partner will also be offering Windows 10S laptops of their own. They are ASUS, Acer, Fujitsu, DELL, Samsung, HP and Toshiba.

These laptops will be less expensive than Microsoft's pricey $1000 Surface laptop. The price starts at only $189. However, we're not really sure if any of these Windows 10S laptops will be available at the retail stores or they will be exclusive only in education market, such as schools and universities.

But apart from that, it's still great to hear that there will be the some alternatives that are still great but cheaper than Microsoft's Surface laptop.

Anyway, just like Surface, these laptops will also ship with the new Windows 10S out of the box, which is a cloud-based OS dedicated for education market.

Actually, following Microsoft's Surface announcement, Acer and HP just also introduced their own Windows 10S laptops. And the good news is, these laptops will cost only $299.99. Interested?
