How to download Instagram videos using InstaSaver?

As you know already, besides for checking out cool photos, on Instagram you can also watch many interesting videos that are posted by other users.

There are many cool videos that are worth checking out here: like tutorial videos, cooking recipe videos, funny hidden-camera videos, scenery videos and any kinds of videos.

Unfortunately, Instagram doesn’t provide the option to download these videos. So if you want to watch again the video, you’ll need to open your Instagram app first and then go the individual page of every video. This of course can waste your internet data a lot.

But the good news is, there's actually a workaround that will allow you to download any videos on Instagram. One of them is by using a very useful app called 'InstaSaver', which you can get on Google Play Store.

Okay then, below I’m going to show you how exactly to download videos on Instagram by using InstaSaver. Enjoy!


Okay, in order to be able to download Instagram videos using your smartphone or tablet, you must firstly download an app that its main feature is to download Instagram videos. But first of all, now open the Google Play Store app on your device to start searching for this app.


After landing on Google Play Store, now find an app called “InstaSaver for Instagram”. There is actually a plenty of other apps with similar names, so don’t be mistaken. The ‘InstaSaver’ I’m referring here in this post is the one developed by ‘Skwirrl’.

This app is not heavy in size by the way. In fact, it’s probably around 3MB. So I believe it’s okay if you want to use your mobile internet data to download the app.


One of the coolest things about ‘InstaSaver’ is, unlike other Instagram video downloading apps out there, this app doesn’t require you to log in to your Instagram account every time you want to use it.

So right in the beginning when you open this app, you can start downloading right away any videos/photos from Instagram.

Okay, as you can see on this app, there are 3 main tabs on the top: ‘SAVER’, ‘DOWNLOADS’, ‘HOW TO USE’. Now still on the tab ‘SAVER’, paste the URL address of Instagram video inside the text box that says “Paste your link here!”.

Anyway, the URL address I’m referring here is the URL address of the Instagram video that you would like to download on your device.

To find and copy the URL address of Instagram video, first of all, open your Instagram app > find the video you’d like to download > press the menu option (3 dot icon) on the top right > and then press ‘Copy share URL’.

The URL address of that photo/video will be copied on the clipboard. Later, you can paste this address on ‘InstaSaver’ app.


After pasting the URL address into the text field, now press the green button that says “Show the content” to generate the thumbnail of that video/photo. But your internet connection must be activated first in order for this to work.

As you can see on the screen, once you press the button, ‘InstaSaver’ will provide you the feature to “SAVE IMAGE/VIDEO”. It even gives you a bunch of options like: copy all, copy hashtags, copy text and translate.

Okay, now to save the Instagram video to your device, press the button “SAVE VIDEO”. InstaSaver will instantly download the video to your smartphone or tablet. It actually only takes a couple of seconds for this app to download the video given that Instagram videos are mostly short in terms of duration.


Once the downloading process is complete, now you can start playing the Instagram video you just downloaded earlier.

All Instagram videos or photos that you have downloaded on InstaSaver will be saved inside the folder named ‘InstaSaver’ which you can find in the root directory of internal or external storage (microSD card).

However, if you are using a video player (app) like MX Player, the Instagram videos will automatically appear on this app. So you don’t need to locate the video every time you want to watch it.


Well, there you have it guys, my secret trick for you if you want to download Instagram videos using your smartphone or tablet. It’s actually really easy to download Instagram videos. All you need is an app called ‘InstaSaver’ and you’re good to go.

I personally use 2 apps everytime I want to download Instagram videos on my smartphone. The first app is of course ‘InstaSaver’.

Meanwhile, the second app is ‘Native Clipboard’ which allows me to copy multiple URL addresses of Instagram videos/photos at the same time and paste them all one by one on ‘InstaSaver’.
