Oprah Winfrey humiliates Microsoft in front of millions of people

Who doesn't know Oprah? She has been one of the most popular hosts on American television for more than decade now. Even many celebrities and popular people on this planet are huge fans of her. Yes, she is Oprah Winfrey, the woman behind the success of her own talk show, Oprah Winfrey show.

But have you ever wondered what the tablet computer she's using to accommodate her busy days as a popular host?

Well, guess no more guys.

According to TechCrunch, Oprah apparently has been a huge fan of Microsoft's tablet - Surface. In fact, she showed her love for this device through her Twitter account by saying that Surface was one of her favorite things. She even bought like 12 of them as Christmas gifts for her family and friends.

Can you believe that?

Well, this is actually not so shocking given that Oprah is one of the celebrities assigned by Microsoft to endorse its products officially, besides Gwen Stefani and Jessica Alba.

On her Twitter account, Oprah then tweeted:

“Gotta say love that SURFACE! Have bought 12 already for Christmas gifts. #FavoriteThings,”

But the bad thing happened.

So, instead of getting exposure and spotlight to their Surface Tablet, Microsoft sadly got humiliated by Oprah Winfrey in front of millions of people around the net.

So when tweeting about her love to her Surface tablet, Oprah Winfrey apparently was using her iPhone to send the tweet. And she didn’t know or realize that Twitter official app on iPhone would automatically post the information "Twitter for iPhone" below the tweet posted by Oprah.

So when her tweet went live, all of her million followers, including news outlets on Twitter found out that Oprah was probably an iPad user. Not a Surface user.

Yup, that's right. Now we know that her love for Surface tablet apparently was not as real as her love for her iPad. This of course is like a slap in the face for Microsoft.

For your information, this is actually not the first time the similar incidents happen to tech companies.

Besides Microsoft, other manufacturers also got their share of embarrassment when celebrities that endorsed their products accidentally were using Apple devices like iPhone to publish the tweet on Twitter. People then found out that the device they were using when promoting the products was Apple iPhone.

So lesson learned.

If your company is planning to hire some popular people to endorse your products, you better make sure that these celebrities do not use any Apple devices when endorsing the products!

It's just a matter of time, people!!

They will find out that these celebrities are using Apple iPhone or iPad, and NOT your products!

I mean, it's like paying people to humiliate your products. Who would want to do that, seriously?
