Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save
Recently, many players are facing Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save problem when they are playing the game on PC. If you are also having one, today, I'm going to show you how to deal with this issue.
Having been regarded as one of the most anticipated games in 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 received mixed reviews from many people around the net. Many praised its visual quality, the gameplay and also the depth of its storyline, but there's also a lot of people aiming their criticism on the bugs that are possessed in the game.

Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save

Besides the bugs, Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save problem is also the one that is holding back this game from becoming the best game in 2020.

Ho to fix Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save problem?

So the save game data of Cyberpunk 2077 apparently will become corrupted when it hits 8MB in size. Normally, the save data of Cyberpunk 2077 is around 4 to 5MB. But when it reaches 8MB, it's a GAME OVER for you.

So if you happen to play Cyberpunk 2077 on your PC or desktop right now, it's best if you check your save data from now on in case it has crossed that size limit or not.

The bad news is, if your save data has exceeded that size limit of 8MB, most certainly your save data has become corrupted and cannot be used or recovered anymore. So you won't be able to load the game from that save data again. EVER.

Solution for Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save problem

The only solution for this Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save problem is to load another save file that is still below 8MB (4MB is well recommended), and then fix the problems from there using that save file and then create a backup to prevent the same problem from happening again in the future.

What's CD Projekt Red's reaction regarding this Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save problem?

8mb apparently is the size limit that the developer has decided for the save data of Cyberpunk 2077 and CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is well aware about this issue. But the worst part is, despite being a massive issue for many players, the publisher is not reacting to this problem and treating it as if it's not a problem.

As a matter of fact, PSA has already stated that "Your cyberpunk saves will become corrupted and unrecoverable if they reach 8mb in size". That is insane, right?

Why this is happening?

From what I've heard, the source of this problem is mainly because players are crafting too many stuff in the game.

So if you haven't known already, in Cyberpunk 2077, besides doing the main story missions and side-quests, you are also allowed to craft some stuff and then sell them for profits.

As time goes on, and they keep crafting a lot of stuff within the game, the size of save data will increase even further, and when it reaches 8MB or above, it will become corrupted.

CD Projekt Red has responded to this Cyberpunk 2077 corrupted save issue and said that in the future, the file size limit of Cyberpunk 2077 might increase in one of future patches, but the corrupted file will remain the same.

Backup your save data now!

If you are type of gamer that doesn't create multiple save files regularly (Well, i am), most likely you will face this problem in the future.

My advice to you right now is to check your save file regularly and create a backup just to prevent this problem from happening.

And if your save file has become corrupted, there's no turning back, there's nothing that you can do about it. CDPR doesn't have any solution for you.

And all you can do is start the game all over again or load the other save file that hasn't reached 8MB of size

The other bugs in Cyberpunk 2077

This is actually not the only problem that CDPR has in this game, there are tons of other issues that are plaguing the game, such as: bugs within quests, the bugs on NPCs that have their body parts separated, the wrong sign on the street, and the list goes on, and on, and on (...and on).

In fact, CDPR has already launched an insanely huge 18GB update patch called "Cyberpunk 2077 Patch 1.05" that players need to download in order to fix all the bugs in the game. That is insane right? 18GB!! Can you believe that?

I heard CDPR takes this issue really seriously and they are planning to fix the Q A (Quality Assurance) department in order to prevent the same problem from happening again in their future games.

Conclusion

It seems to us that CD Project Red only cares about the money here and not the players who have spent their hard-earned money to buy the game.

Of course players can still refund the game if they want it to, but still, seeing this game publisher treat all the gamers only as their money making machine just cannot be accepted.

How is it possible a huge anticipated game like Cyberpunk 2077 (that apparently has won a handful of awards before) comes with too many bugs and errors?

And the fact that this game could pass the Q A or quality assurance of the company is still mind boggling for many people.
