HP Stream 11 Pro G2 laptop is now only $179.99. Is it good for gaming? (Intel Celeron, 4GB RAM, HD Graphics, 9 hour battery life)
Who says that cheap Windows 10 laptops are just a myth and impossible to find on the market? Well, we recently found 2 pretty awesome Windows 10 laptops at low costs, they are from ASUS and HP. And today, we found another one. It's from HP once again called HP Stream 11 Pro G2 laptop and it's only $179.99. Can you believe it?

Yup, that's right, today you can grab this HP Stream 11 Pro G2 laptop for just $179.99 on Amazon. For a Windows 10 notebook. this is definitely really cheap. But despite being a low-cost laptop, HP Stream 11 Pro G2 still looks impressive on paper. In fact, with the specs that it comes with, we are more than sure that you can throw some heavy stuff on this machine.

HP Stream 11 Pro G2 laptop is now only $179.99. Is it good for gaming? (Intel Celeron, 4GB RAM, HD Graphics, 9 hour battery life)
HP Stream 11 Pro G2 comes with an 11.6-inch screen with the resolution of 1366x768 pixels, which is higher than the standard 720p resolution (1280x720 pixels). But that's not the only thing that is so great on this affordable laptop. There's more.

On the sector of performance, HP trusts Intel Celeron dual-core N3050 processor, accompanied with Intel HD Integrated Graphics to handle the whole graphical tasks thrown on this machine. Meanwhile, 4GB DDR3 RAM is also provided to ensure smooth experience to users, especially when opening many apps or multiple tabs at once on Firefox.

HP Stream 11 Pro G2 is running on Windows 10 Professional. So this laptop is definitely suitable for professional-career people who work at the office. And we believe its performance is more than adequate to handle some productive tasks without any problem.

The biggest downside found on this notebook is no other than its built-in storage. So HP Stream 11 Pro G2 only provides you 32GB/64GB SSD. This is probably not such a deal breaker for some users, but for media consumptive people, this laptop can leave a lot to be desired.

The good thing is, it's still expandable through microSD card slot. So hopefully, you can still have an extra capacity of storage for your favorite media stuff like movies, music, photos or games.

But it's worth mentioning that Windows 10 operating system usually consumes around 4 to 5GB from internal SSD, which means you'll only get around 27GB (for 32GB SSD variant) or 59GB (for 64GB variant) of free available internal built-in storage.

HP claims that this laptop is capable to last for up to 9.5 hours of battery life on one charge, which is considered as 'great' given that it's running on heavy performing Windows 10 OS. So this laptop can be a great reliable machine if you are using it on-the-go outside your house.

How does it perform to handle PC games?

For a cheap laptop, HP Stream 11 Pro G2 actually doesn't disappoint when it comes to specs. It's got a dual-core Intel Celeron processor, Intel HD Graphics and 4GB of RAM. And this looks pretty good for a cheap notebook.

With this kind of specs, we believe this laptop has what it takes to run some old PC games like GTA Vice CIty, GTA San Andreas or Prince of Persia Two Thrones without any problem.

Unfortunately, if you're looking for a gaming laptop and you also happen to be a heavy gamer, we totally don't recommend this laptop because HP Stream 11 Pro G2 is definitely not made for heavy gaming, even though it's got 4GB of RAM.

But if you only want a reliable laptop to accommodate your basic productive tasks like typing, editing PowerPoint and other Office software, HP Stream 11 Pro G2 can be one hell of a great purchase for you.
