Awesome! This $279 Lenovo Flex 11 is a 2-in-1 flippable Chromebook that lets you use it both as laptop and tablet
With more and more schools in the US using Chromebooks for their students, we believe this is the best time for you to get one for yourself. Well, if you want to buy a Chromebook today, Lenovo Flex 11 is probably the one you're looking for. This laptop now can be yours for $279.

Recently, Lenovo just made Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook official and this laptop will be available to buy for $279. It should be available sometime this month.

So if you happen to be a student and you're still wandering around the street looking for a simple productive laptop that is NOT running on Windows, this Chromebook from Lenovo can be a suitable option for you.

This may not be as cheap as the Lenovo ThinkPad 11e Chromebook we showed you earlier yesterday, which costs only $140 ($40 off), but we believe Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook offers something that is so much even better in the whole aspect than ThinkPad 11e.

First of all, Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook, as its name suggests, is indeed a flexible 2-in-1 convertible laptop. So basically, this kind of laptop lets you use it in 2 modes - laptop mode and tablet mode.

However, this Lenovo Chromebook doesn't allow you to flip over the keyboard in full circle, just like on HP Spectra x360 where you can flip over this laptop to turn it into a full tablet.

Even so, Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook is still a great laptop because it offers a lot of functionalities in one single package. You can use it as a normal laptop and you can also use it as a tablet on the table with the keyboard as the kickstand.

Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook comes with an 11.6-inch display sporting the resolution of 1366x768 pixels. This is definitely not as as impressive as HP AMD E2 laptop we showed a few days ago, which comes with a full HD display (1080p) and it's only $219 on Amazon.

And then in performance, you'll find a 2.1GHz quad-core ARM processor inside this machine, as well as 4GB of RAM that will ensure the smooth experience on this laptop especially when opening many apps or Chrome tabs at once.

There's only 32GB built-in storage provided on this Chromebook. So if you're planning to use this laptop to keep all of your movies, music and games, you'll be left disappointed here. But the good thing is, it's expandable through microSD card slot (hopefully up to 128GB).

Lenovo promises that this Chromebook will deliver around 10 hour battery life to users, which is somehow believable given the fact that it's running on light-weight Chrome OS, as opposed to Windows 10 OS that consumes a lot of power.

According to Lenovo, this laptop is designed with 'Android apps in mind' and it will offer Google Play Store soon, which means you can sill use many popular apps and games that you've come to love on your Android tablet or smartphone.

Should I buy this Chromebook?

But you might be wondering "why should I get this Chromebook instead of regular Windows 10 laptop?"

Well, that's a great question. Okay, so the price of this laptop may be a little steep especially considering it's running on Chrome OS, not Windows 10 where you're able to run any legacy Windows software without any problem.

Not to mention that there's a much cheaper Lenovo ThinkPad 11e Chromebook that now costs only $140, WHICH may look kind of boxy, but it's convertible bendable laptop and also has some pretty impressive specs on board.

However, by paying as much as $279, Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook actually can still a good purchase for you, especially if you want to get a simple productive laptop and you're okay not being able to run Windows software on this Chromebook.

How does it perform for playing games?

Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook comes with a 2.1GHz quad-core ARM processor and 4GB of RAM. With this kind of specs, of course you'll be able to run almost any Chrome games without any problem.

Unfortunately, there's no information regarding the GPU that Lenovo crams inside this Chromebook. So we are not really sure about how great is this gonna perform for playing games.

Besides, Lenovo Flex 11 Chromebook is running on Chrome OS, and right now there are not many awesome games available on Chrome web store.

The good news is, as stated by Lenovo, this laptop is designed with Android apps in mind, which means you'll be able to run Android games in the near future, of course when Google officially opens up the access for this laptop to Android OS and Google Play Store.
