Besides on Twitter app and Android Nougat OS, the feature called ‘Night Mode’ apparently can also be enjoyed on other different platforms. One of them is Mozilla Firefox web browser. So if you happen to use Firefox as your daily driver for browsing the web, and you also ‘Night Mode’, then you may want to start using this feature on your Firefox app.

However, unlike on Twitter and Android Nougat OS, the ‘Night Mode’ feature on Mozilla Firefox app is not an official feature for this app. So you will need to activate this feature manually by downloading an add-on from Firefox add-on website.

Okay then, without further ado, below I’m going to show you exactly how to activate ‘Night Mode’ on your Mozilla Firefox app. Hope you like it!

#1. Open your Mozilla Firefox app

First of all, now open your Firefox web browser on your smartphone or tablet. But if you haven’t had it yet, you can download it for free on Google Play Store. But it’s worth mentioning that this app is pretty heavy in size. It weighs around 51MB.

So if you’re little bit short on mobile data balance, I would recommend you to download this app using your Wifi connection, of course if there is any working Wifi connection around your area.

#2. Go to Firefox add-ons website

After downloading and installing Firefox app on your device, now open it. And then, go to the website of Firefox add-ons, where you’ll be able to find all the available add-ons for the mobile version of Firefox app.

But if you’re lazy to type the URL in address bar, you can also go visit Firefox add-ons website by pressing the menu option on the TOP RIGHT CORNER > selecting ‘Tools’ > Add-ons > pressing ‘Browse all Firefox Add-ons’.

By doing so, Firefox will bring you directly to its add-ons website.

#3. Download ‘Dark Background and Light Text’

After landing on the website, find an add-on called ‘Dark Background and Light Text’ in search box. There’s actually no other add-on using this name, so I believe this add-on is the only one that will appear in the search result.

#4. Press the button ‘Add to Firefox’

Once you have found ‘Dark Background and Light Text’ add-on, press it to go to the download page of this add-on. After that, download this add-on by pressing the button ‘Add to Firefox’.

Your Firefox app will then download this add-on in the background. It actually only takes a couple of seconds given that this add-on is relatively small in size.

#5. Wait for a few seconds

The next thing to do now is wait until Firefox app finishes downloading the add-on. Once the downloading process is complete, the installation window will automatically appear on the screen. When that happens, press ‘Install’ to proceed to the installation process.

Anyway, during the downloading process, please DO NOT PRESS anything on the screen until you see the installation window pop up!

#6. Visit some website

This add-on doesn’t require you to reload your Firefox app. So once the installation process is finished, you can try it out right away. This add-on actually can be found on the top, right in the address bar. It will be shown as ‘Aa’ logo in small black button.

To test drive this add-on, now visit any website that you usually check out on Firefox web browser. For example, go to Twitter website.

Testing out this add-on on Twitter.com actually can be interesting given that Twitter already has the ‘Night mode’ feature. However, this feature is only available on the app version, not on the mobile web version.

So by using this add-on, you can now have the ‘Night Mode’ feature on the mobile web version of Twitter.com.

#7. Press the box ‘Aa’ inside the address bar

Okay, after landing on Twitter website, now press the small black box with the letters ‘Aa’ in the address bar on the top. Alternatively, you can also open the menu option on the TOP RIGHT CORNER and then select 'Dark Bg and Light text' in the list.

By doing so, you will be brought to the new tab where you’ll be able to activate this add-on on specific website you're currently browsing, or in this case, Twitter.com.

#8. Enable the Night mode

It’s actually really simple to activate this add-on and turn Twitter website into ‘Night mode’. All you need to do is give a check mark on the option ‘Enable’.

As you can see on the screen, once you enable this feature, Twitter website will turn into ‘Night Mode’ with black background and white text.

Conclusion

Well, there you have it guys, the ‘Night mode’ feature on Mozilla Firefox app. Hope you like this add-on and my simple guide on this page. Anyway, what do you think about this add-on? Do you like it? Does it work properly on your Firefox app?

Well, if you have something to say regarding this topic, please don’t hesitate to leave your opinion here on the comment section below. I’ll be more than happier to hear your thoughts about this add-on.
