Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro Series: Quick Review RoundupSamsung Galaxy Tab Pro Series: Quick Review RoundupHi guys, welcome back to this site!

In the beginning of this year, Samsung struck the world of tablet with its ground-breaking productivity tablets under the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro series, along with the Note Pro tablet.

One interesting fact about this tablet series is, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro tablets come pre-installed with a new looking Live-Tile-based UI and fresh design layout – aimed for professional and productive users.

This new UI is called Magazine UI, which looks really different significantly compared to the other Android tablets around the market, and even Samsung’s usual TouchWiz UX UI.

Not only that, the other more impressive thing about all of the tablets of this series is, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro tablets all ship with some monster specs that even today, are still considered as flagship quality specs on the market right now.

They have : - a super high-resolution screen,
- a fast powerful processor,
- great GPU,
- huge RAM,
- big battery capacity,
- high-grade quality cameras and of course,
- a much better design, which takes some cues from last year’s Samsung Galaxy Note 3 tablet with its “fake” elements – faux leather, fake stitching and fake metallic trim.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro series is actually aimed at professional and productive users – especially with its UI and productivity features.

However, all the tablets of this series can also be perfect as media-consumption devices, especially for watching movies or even playing games.

Anyway guys, today, i want to keep the momentum going by giving you more of the quick review roundup of all tablets under the Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro series.

This tablet series consists in varied different models – which some of them use 2 different processors.

So i’ll probably split some of the models in 2 parts, while the other ones with the same screen and processor, will be wrapped up into just one quick review.

Okay then, without further ado, here you go, my quick roundup of Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro tablets.

Enjoy!

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4The basic model in this series is Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4. And as its name suggests, this one is indeed an 8.4-inch tablet running on Android.

One of the strongest points of this tablet is definitely its screen, which sports an insanely super high-resolution 2560x1600 pixel screen.

And more impressively is, all of those pixels are crammed into this small 8.4-inch display, resulting in higher pixel density than its 10.1-inch and 12.2-inch siblings.

And that means, the screen of this tablet looks much even sharper than its siblings.

This tablet is not only great as a productivity tablet, but it’s also perfect for enjoying media contents like books, magazines or movies, and even for playing some heavy performing games like Asphalt 8: Airborne, GTA San Andreas or Modern Combat 5, which all will run in buttery smooth performance and of course in full graphics.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 8.4 comes with an 8.4-inch display sporting the 2560x1600 pixel resolution, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, Adreno 330 GPU, 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash, 2MP front-facing camera, Android 4.4 KitKat with Magazine UI, microSD card slot for up to 64GB, 16/32GB of internal storage, 4800mAh power battery with a promised 127 hours of music play and a lot more stuff.

All the WiFi-only, 3G and 4G LTE models are powered by the same quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM, so when it comes to gaming performance, all of these tablets have no significant difference one to another.

So whether you want to pick the WiFi-only model, 3G or 4G LTE variant, it’s your call.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1Unlike the 8.4-inch model, the WiFi-only and 4G LTE models of Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 use 2 different processors – Snapdragon 800 processor for the LTE model and Samsung Exynos 5 Octa 5420 for the WiFi-only model.

So when it comes to gaming performance, it’s really obvious that the LTE/3G model is more powerful compared to the WiFi-only variant, although not very significantly.

But even so, all of these tablets are still great as gaming tablets, no matter which model you’re getting.

In terms of specs, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 comes with:
- a 10.1-inch display sporting the super high resolution 2560x1600 pixels (-299 ppi),
- an octa-core Samsung Octa 5 Exynos 5420 processor with big.LITTLE architecture (with 4-cores of A15 handling the big tasks, while other 4-cores of A7 handling the simple tasks),
- 2GB of RAM, Mali-T628 MP6,
- 8MP camera on the back with LED flash,
- 2MP front-facing camera,
- microSD card slot for up to 64GB,
- 16/32GB of internal storage,
- a non-removable 8220mAh battery and of course,
- with Magazine UI layering all over the interface.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 LTE

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 LTEIf the WiFi-only model of Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 is powered by Samsung’s homemade 5 Octa Exynos processor with big.LITTLE architecture, then the LTE model of this tablet is taken care by a more powerful Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, along with the Adreno 330 GPU and 2GB of RAM.

So when it comes to gaming performance, this LTE model is definitely more superior compared to the WiFi-only model.

Similar just like the WiFi-only model, however, this LTE variant also comes with the same type of hardware specs.

In fact, they both have the same identical specs, with the exception of the processor and GPU of course.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 10.1 LTE ships with:
- a 10.1-inch display sporting the 2560x1600 pixel resolution,
- Snapdragon 800 processor,
- Adreno 330 GPU, 2GB of RAM,
- 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash,
- 2MP front-facing camera, microSD card slot for up to 64GB,
- 16/32GB of internal storage,
- Android 4.4 KitKat,
- SIM card slot, a non-removable 8220mAh battery with promised 10 hours of battery life for multimedia (talk time) and 147 hours for music play.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 3G

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 3G modelJust like the 10.1-inch variants, the same thing happens as well on the largest 12.2-inch models. The 3G model of Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is powered by Samsung 5 Octa Exynos 5420 processor with big.LITTLE architecture, as well as Mali T628 GPU and bigger 3GB of RAM.

However, when it comes to gaming performance, the LTE model with Snapdragon 800 processor is definitely more superior than this 3G variant, although not significantly.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 3G also shares the similar type of hardware specs just like other models in this Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro family, like:
- the same 2560x1600 pixel resolution on its 12.2-inch display,
- Samsung 5 Octa Exynos processor,
- Mali T628 GPU,
- 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash,
- 2MP front-facing camera,
- microSD card slot for up to 64GB,
- 32/64 Internal storage options,
- Android v4.4 Kit Kat,
- cellular connectivity and the same Magazine UI.

However, for this largest 12.2-inch model, Samsung kind of bumps up some of its sectors, with a much bigger 3GB of RAM and a bigger 9500mAh power battery.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 LTE

Samsung GALAXY Tab Pro 12.2If the 3G variant of Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 is handled by Samsung’s own 5 Octa Exynos processor, then this LTE is of course powered by a more powerful Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, as well as the Adreno 330 GPU and the same big 3GB of RAM.

So if you’re looking for a better performer for playing graphics intense games, you probably would want to pick up this LTE model of Samsung GALAXY Tab Pro 12.2 instead of the 3G variant.

But i strongly recommend you to get the smaller model if you're into gaming because according to TheVerge, playing games with the largest 12.2-inch model is that fun to do because its larger super high resolution screen will make your head feel kind of dizzy over the time.

Anyway, similar just the 3G model, Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro 12.2 LTE also comes with the same type of hardware specs. In fact, they both share the same identical specs, from:
- the same 12.2-inch display sporting the 2560x1600 pixel resolution,
- 3GB of RAM,
- 8MP rear-facing camera with LED flash,
- 2MP front-facing camera,
- microSD card slot for up to 64GB,
- 32/64GB of internal storage and the same 9500mAh power battery.

So one thing that probably makes them different is probably their performance, especially when handling some graphics intense games like Asphalt 8: Airborne, GTA San Andreas or Modern Combat 5.

Conclusion

Well, that’s it for now about these Samsung Galaxy Tab Pro tablets. If you feel that this quick review roundup is really helpful and informative to you (hopefully, entertaining as well), don’t forget to share it guys. I would totally appreciate your contribution here.
