Everything About Bioshock Infinite Handyman and His Role in the Game
As one of the enemies that Booker Dewitt will face in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman possesses such a great power that makes him tough and really hard to beat in the game.

If you’ve played this game and even had a chance to fight this villain face-to-face along your journey, then you already know that in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman has 2 giant doll-alike hands that are capable to give such huge damages to Booker’s health and even knock him out if he’s already running out of juice.

The good news is, in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman is not an unbeatable enemy for Booker.

So when you feel like you’re ready to face this big fat guy, then don’t ever hesitate to out all of your power and weapons in order to collapse this guy to death.

And if you still think Handyman is too tough for you, then Elizabeth will always come to the rescue.

This girl will accompany you along your journey with her special power to open the tears that surely will be useful for you to grab some goodies and items from different realities (like medics, bullets, walls, etc) and bring them all to Booker’s own reality. So you’re safe in Elizabeth’s hands definitely.

My Personal Opinion About Bioshock Infinite

Anyway, before we go straight to talk about one of the big bosses in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman, i actually have something that i want to share to you about this game.

To be honest, i personally think that, compared to other games under this genre, which is First Person Shooter, I think Bioshock Infinite can be said as a game that is so much even better than some other FPS games on the market right now.

Okay, Call of Duty series maybe has huge fans bases all across the globe, thanks to its brilliant gameplay, graphics and storyline.

But i just personally think that with all of bunch of stuff that being offered in Bioshock Infinite, then it’s really possible that this game could blow other FPS games out of the water and even claim the award of the best FPS game in 2013.

There are so many aspects that can support that argument.

One of them is definitely its brilliant storyline that is so refreshing to many gamers.

Besides its brilliant and genius storyline, the other things that make this game stand out among FPS rivals are its stunning graphics, amazing gameplay (especially with the skyline and stuff, which is original), some of RPG influences, dark tragic themed soundtracks, and not to mention its breathtaking combat system. This game is simply genius!!

Who is Handyman?

Okay, now let's talk about Handyman.

First of all, who the hell is Handyman? In Bioshock Infinite, Handyman plays a big part to protect the floating city of Columbia from many threats and attacks outside the city, like from the Vox Populi people, led by Daisy Fitzroy, or maybe from Booker Dewitt, who is given a job by Luteces to “kidnap” a girl named Elizabeth from the Mountain Island in Columbia and bring her to New York safely.

As shown in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman looks really big compared to other enemies that you will meet in this game. All of his body is made in China, just kidding, i mean, from metal steel.

His hands also look quite big, making his punch more “meaningful” to create significant damages to Booker.

However, 2 things that separate this guy from all of his robotic look are his head and his heart, which are still the genuine human parts in his body.

Where Handyman Appears in the Game?

If you notice something at the beginning part of Bioshock Infinite, Handyman shows his face for the very first time when he is “showcased” on the stage in front of people of Columbia as if he is in the “Freak Show” stage, where weird people are gathered in one stage and show their weirdness.

The other part in Bioshock Infinite when you can see this guy in this game is when you meet Daisy Fitzroy for the first time.

In that part, still a half unconscious, Booker saw Handyman below the airship.

Besides those appearances in some cutscenes of Bioshock Infinite, Handyman is also involved in some direct battles with Booker Dewitt.

And this is the part when things get really difficult for Booker. Facing Handyman face-to-face is just really hard for players.

Handyman’s Main Power

By looking at his appearance in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman’s main power definitely comes from his 2 giant hands, which can give such big damages to people who stand in his way, and especially Booker.

Most people that i see playing this game, when facing Handyman, they will always use some combination of attacks and combos in order to defeat this big tough guy.

So i think, it’s simply impossible for you to face Handyman face-to-face without any strategy.

You will find yourself being punched all over your face mercilessly without even landing any meaningful damage to this villain.

How to Defeat Handyman?

So the question is, how exactly to defeat Handyman? Well, in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman along with some other enemies, will definitely be given with some distinctive strengths and powers.

However, it doesn’t mean that they have no weakness, right.

As for Handyman, the best way to beat this guy is by using the combination of your weapons, the big ones, not to mention the telekinesis powers, and the most importantly, a great strategy.

Okay, in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman may be a really tough and hard-to-beat villain.

But if you already master all the controls and the environments around the area where you meet Handyman, then it will make it so much easier or at least, a bit easier to find the right time to attack this enemy.

The skyline, which is the roller coaster tracks around Columbia can also be a great element that you can always use to fight Handyman.

Not to mention, the power of Elizabeth to open the tears will always be really useful for you in order to beat the crap out of this giant-handed enemy.

The Best Way to Beat Handyman

The best trick when fighting Handyman is to always attack him in the heart, where this is the genuine human part in his body besides his head.

However, it’s also important for you to always use your best gun at your disposal, like shotgun or anything like that.

And if Handyman starts attacking back at you, then your best move is definitely to stay away from the area where he is around because in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman can reach you even if you’re at really far distance on the same ground (floor or platform).

So when you see Handyman is ready to land his jab at you, then you must run away and find the nearest skyline around you because Handyman just can’t reach you from this roller coaster track.

However, grappling on the skyline doesn’t solve all the problems because in Bioshock Infinite, Handyman can also hack the Skyline and stream electricity on this roller coaster track.

So if you don’t want to get electrocuted by this enemy, every time you see there is any electric spark on the Skyline, then you must jump out from the Skyline and land on the ground quickly.

And if you already land safely on the ground, you should always watch your back because this guy can always make a big jump from one platform to another platform and attack you at a sudden.

So the best way to defeat Handyman is by using the best gun, avoiding his attack as soon as possible, grappling to the Skyline every time he attacks you, and If you can repeat this method over and over again, then it’s gonna be so much easier for you to defeat Handyman.
